Missouri State Broadcast Services supports the Missouri State University System's mission of developing educated persons and its emphasis on public affairs while enriching the lives of area people by meeting their educational, cultural and informational needs through delivery of high-quality radio, television and other digital media services.
Programming and activities of KSMU and Ozarks Public Television are coordinated and major components of the Missouri State Broadcast Services. The two stations will become national models for university-licensed public radio and television stations and support the university's public affairs mission through the acquisition, production and distribution of local and national programming. Educational services of the stations complement existing digital media services (Internet, web, interactive television) utilized by the university to serve regional education needs. The stations maintain and expand community ties through community advisory boards comprised of recognized leaders in business, government and the arts.
